Christine Herbst-Kubitz currently works in Taipei as General Manager for the German engineering company Siemens. After finishing a management trainee program she started her career in the energy industry, enabling her to work on high-efficient combined cycle power plant solutions, which contribute to the goals derived out of the UN Climate Change Conference 2015 in Paris by reducing emissions footprints as part of the method for reducing greenhouse gas. She was as general project manager responsible for the delivery of a power plant for the project Black Point of the utility customer China Light and Power in Hong Kong between 2016 till 2018. Since 2013 she lives in Asia and works particularly in Taiwan covering all sales activities for large gas turbine power plants. She holds a German Diploma in industrial engineering from Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen. Growing up in a bilingual home, she attended actively a Chinese school in addition to the German school system. Additionally she participated in university programs, e.g. at UIEB in Beijing, fostering Chinese-German economic cooperation.
