meet! - Mercator Europa Tour

The meet!-Mercator Europa Tour is a project by Stiftung Mercator that aims to strengthen social diversity in the fields of international cooperation and international affairs. Each year, meet! invites young adults from the Ruhr area in Germany, who are the first in their family to graduate from high school or attend university, to experience Europe and to explore current international issues. Through in-depth trainings, cultural events and discussions meet! prepares and encourages them to engage in European affairs, to seek international career opportunities and to get involved in the world of intercultural exchange.

The first meet!-Mercator Europa Tour 2018 took place in Ireland, various cities in Europa and Berlin. The second meet!-Tour 2019 will lead to Budapest (Hungary) and Vienna (Austria). meet!-Participants not only have the chance to explore Europe and to join in trainings, discussions and excursions. They will also have the unique opportunity to get hands-on experience in the field of international cooperation and European affairs. For this, meet! organises short-time work placements in NGOs, media agencies, political institutions and businesses throughout Europe.

Who can participate: High School graduates from the Ruhr region in Germany with permanent rescidence permit or EU/German nationality. The programme's language is German.
